AP CM asks bankers to extend loans to farmers before crop season

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today asked the bankers to extend loans to the farmers liberally before the start of the cropping season and do their bit for women empowerment by creating one lakh women entrepreneurs by March 8, 2026.

The State Level Bankers Committee meeting was held in the Secretariat at Amaravati near here. The Annual credit plan was unveiled with the bankers extending loans of Rs 2,47,919 cr to all sectors including Rs 94,666 cr for Agriculture, Rs 49,831 cr for MSME sector and Rs 1,00,278 cr for other sectors, including Rs 985 cr for tenant farmers.
