ZILLE IS NOT THE ONE TO RESCUE JOBURG

VERY few can argue against the urgent need to address the service delivery challenges confronting the City of Joburg.

Anyone who has recently visited the metro once referred to as the City of Gold and Africa’s economic hub has a story to tell regarding its deteriorating infrastructure.

Its leadership does not seem to be bothered at all by the painful sight of overflowing sewage, potholed roads, lack of water and refuse that is piling up in some parts of the city centre.

That it urgently needs to be restored to its former glory days is not in question. What remains in question, though, is who, or which political party, has the oomph to put Johannesburg back to where it belongs.
