MAMELODI Sundowns return to Betway Premiership action on Tuesday (kickoff 7.30pm) knowing there is little room for distraction as they travel to Rustenburg to face Orbit College at Olympia Park.

- SMISO MSOMI

The fixture arrives at a demanding point in Sundowns’ schedule, with the Brazilians Juggling their domestic title ambitions while preparing for a crucial continental assignment later in the week.

Miguel Cardoso’s side will host Stade Malien in the quarterfinal first leg of the CAF Champions League on Friday, leaving the Pretoria giants with only a few days to switch focus between competitions. Despite that looming continental test, Sundowns cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal in the league.

The defending champions are locked in a tight title race with Orlando Pirates, with the two sides separated only by goal difference at the summit of the table with 11 matches remaining.
