Police intercept truck carrying drugs worth R19m

A NIGERIAN national has been arrested in Paarl during the seizure of drugs worth R19 million which had been transported via truck from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Tuesday.

- STAFF REPORTER

Police spokesperson, Captain Frederick Van Wyk said the arrest follows an intelligence-driven operation and that the truck was spotted near the Huguenot Tunnel.

A 44-year-old Nigerian national was arrested and is expected to appear in the Paarl Magistrates' Court soon.
