How to break into AI job transformation boom

With AI steadily infiltrating almost all roles, everyone will need to work with it in some form from engineers and accountants to small business operators. Freepik

While many people are excited about the technology, others fear what it might mean for their jobs and careers.No one knows how AI will affect the world of work over the next several years or decades but the technology isn't going anywhere. LinkedIn's latest Jobs on the Rise list shows how employers are racing to harness and embed the power of AI within their organisations. AI engineers, AI consultants and strategists top the list in the first and second slots, respectively. Data annotators came in fourth, and AI and machine learning researchers were fifth. These jobs are among the fastest-growing roles of the past three years, according to LinkedIn data.

While AI holds so much promise, many people believe working in this area is beyond their abilities. We already know that most people feel behind in just understanding AI, according to research from the American Management Association.

The good news is that your technical abilities and understanding of AI don't exempt you from this growing part of the world of work. The Jobs on the Rise list shows that there are roles tied to AI for everyone.
