George Howard and Richard Southall

GEORGE Howard of Gog Magog and Richard Southall from Saffron Walden were the winners of the 2026 County Foursomes Championship on Sunday.

It was a lovely sunny morning as the competitors turned up at St Ives Golf Club. The Links-styled course looked in splendid order with the recently renovated bunkers' faces displaying railway sleepers certainly catching the eye.

The leaders after the opening round were County veterans Howard and Southall both have been previous winners of this Championship with different partners.
