Credit growth rises to 14.5%

Bank credit grew 14.5 percent year-on-year (Yo-Y) during the fortnight as against 13.6 per cent expansion recorded in the previous fortnight.
During the reporting week, bank credit accelerated in the fortnight ended February 28, while deposit increase also picked up, according to the latest data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Bank credit grew 14.5 percent year-on-year (Yo-Y) during the fortnight as against 13.6 per cent expansion recorded in the previous fortnight.
Deposit growth was nearly 12 per cent as against 10.2 percent in the previous reporting period.
