The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) generated P129.68 million in sales from 335 participating micro, small, medium enterprises (MSME) over five days of the National Trade Fair (NTF).
From February 18 to 22 at SM Megamall Megatrade Halls, the DTI reported that the total sales figure covers direct cash purchases, booked orders and ongoing business negotiations initiated during the fair.
The NTF is among the government's flagship platforms for helping small businesses expand their market reach, giving them a venue to display products and connect with potential buyers.
Throughout the five-day event, entrepreneurs showcased a wide range of locally made goods, such as home decor, fashion items, food products and environmentally friendly innovations.
