RAIL MANUFACTURER SET TO EXPAND ITS BARTON FACILITY TO CREATE 150 NEW EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
A LEADING rail industry manufacturer has announced the expansion of its Barton-under-Needwood facility, creating 150 jobs.
Wabtec's expansion, which is expected to be completed before the end of 2026, represents a significant investment in the future of UK rail.
Once completed, the modernised site will accommodate 500 team members creating 150 new skilled jobs in the region.
The 7,300 sq/m expansion is part of the company’s long-term strategy to enhance production capabilities, improve efficiency, and support a more sustainable, modern, and efficient UK rail sector.
