Warne backs Morris at Derby

PAUL Warne has backed Carlton Morris to be a major influence for Derby County and says his former striker can be an “unstoppable” force.

Warne signed Morris on two occasions from Norwich City when he was manager of Rotherham United during the early part of the striker’s career.

The 29-year-old carved out a formidable reputation after inspiring Luton Town's rise to the Premier League, which ended with him scoring 11 goals in the top flight.

Now he finds himself at Derby, the club having paid an undisclosed fee to the Hatters in order land the forward, who has signed a three-year deal.

Now Warne, speaking to the Derby Telegraph, as offered his take on the player.

“We signed Carlton as a young lad from Norwich and he did really well,” said Warne, now the MK Dons boss.
