'Screamfest 2025 has so much more than just scares'
Burton Mail
|October 18, 2025
I'VE been a frequent attendee of Burton’s annual Screamfest event for the past few years, and each October I see it grow in size.

This year introduces a fresh attraction in the form of ‘Mutation Damnation, which takes the place of the much-loved ‘Creed Farm’
Once more, situated amidst the corn fields, it provides an immediate eerie atmosphere.
The theme revolves around genetic modification, with the plants having mutated into something reminiscent of the Demogorgon from Stranger Things.
Enclosed by towering cornfields, filled with numerous actors, and featuring a rather claustrophobic tunnel section, it’s a sensory overload and simply great fun.
We found ourselves thoroughly enjoying last year’s new maze, ‘Hellcatraz,’ once again. We gave it a couple of run-throughs and had a fantastic time.
This demonic prison is home to a myriad of horrors, where the deranged inmates are eagerly awaiting your arrival.
