People power in call for action

THOUSANDS of people are expected to be in Westminster today to lobby their MPs to take action on climate change and restoring nature.

Organisers say more than 5,000 people from across the UK are expected to meet with more than 300 MPs for the mass lobby.

It takes place amid the growing spectre of climate-driven weather extremes including more intense heatwaves and drought.
