A CLASSIC Morris Minor has sold for £9,600 at an auction in Fradley Park.

- By JOSEPH RICHARDS

The 1000 Convertible car, now named Mirabelle, went under the hammer with Richard Winterton Auctioneers at Richard Winterton Auctioneers, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park and was first registered on July 14 1966.

It has a 1098cc petrol engine with a four speed manual transmission and is painted in Olde English white.

"What an absolutely stunning car," said auctioneer Tom Winterton. "Mirabelle is a real showstopper and we had a huge amount of interest from bidders online and in the room on the day of the auction."
