Nominate a hero to turn on Christmas lights
Burton Mail
|October 09, 2025
RESIDENTS in South Derbyshire are being asked to nominate a local hero who will win the honour of switching on the Christmas lights.
-
Nominations for the Unsung Heroes competition are open until October 29, and the winner will receive a trophy, be recognised for their contributions and switch on the South Derbyshire Christmas Lights, above, on November 29.
From organising local activities to quietly helping neighbours, this award shines a light on people who make South Derbyshire a better place to live without seeking recognition.
