Man 'drove at police car head-on'
Burton Mail
|November 26, 2025
POLICE have charged a man after a Range Rover was involved in a number of traffic offences, including driving "head-on towards a marked police vehicle" and colliding with a car with a baby inside.
-
Officers received a call to Ticknall Road, between Ticknall and Swadlincote, after “multiple” 999 calls regarding a vehicle swerving on the road and causing damage.
The Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team's PC Alex Boniface saw the vehicle before the calls had been dispatched, and the vehicle had travelled head-on towards his marked police car, causing officers to take evasive action.
