Eustace sad to see Ebou say farewell

DERBY County head coach John Eustace said he was “sad” to see Ebou Adams leave the club but felt it was the right decision to sell him to Portsmouth.

Adams wrapped up his move to Pompey on Friday for a fee of £500,000, with the Rams recouping what they paid Cardiff City for his services in the summer of 2024.
The midfielder was a huge favourite on the terraces and was a transformative signing in League One as he went on to help them secure promotion.
But with the Rams evolving their squad and with Adams’ first-team chances becoming limited with Lewis Travis and David Ozoh ahead of him in the pecking order, it made sense to sell him.
