EMMA MAY'S 'COMPOSITION OF A CROW' WILL BE AVAILABLE TO BUY FROM NOVEMBER 28

- By EVA MILLETT

A BURTON upon Trent author is set to make her publishing debut later this month with a dark and gripping psychological thriller inspired by 'ancient myth and modern realities'.

Emma May's The Composition of a Crow, released on November 28 with publisher The Book Guild, combines the tension of a supernatural thriller with the emotional weight of a story about survival and recovery.

The novel follows Lora, known only as “little crow” to her abusive captor, who finally reaches breaking point and kills him.

But freedom doesn’t bring peace - she’s haunted by his ghost and the trauma he left behind.

When she meets Eleanor, a woman whose strange behaviour mirrors her own past, Lora becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth, blurring the lines between love, control, and manipulation.
