Turnaround Bosses hail progress in improving council housing

A MAJOR milestone has been reached in improving the historic "serious failings" of how Bristol City Council maintains its thousands of council homes.
However council tenants still believe there is more work to be done and issues like tackling risky asbestos need improving.
In the summer of 2024 the council was hit with a C3 judgement from the Regulator of Social Housing. The council is a social housing landlord with over 27,000 homes across the city. The judgement said its failures were impacting tenant safety and needed significant improvement.
