First thing needed was a bike rack for the camper. That was quite easy. Got a preloved one from a local ad. Ah, local ads. How I love them. The perfect place to find preloved stuff.
-
WHEN I was a kiddie I had a farmyard set. Very nice it was too. Expect you know the sort of thing; some small plastic animals, assorted farm machinery and a healthy dose of vivid imagination.
Spent hours playing with that stuff. I used to fill up a little trailer with small plastic animals, hitch it to the teeny tiny tractor and drive them all through the hallway to the back garden. So the dinky little animals could eat their fill of the sweet green grass out there. To be honest, since they were completely made of plastic, they never actually ate any grass. But, to be even more honest, that was not the point of the exercise. The point was to have fun. Which I definitely did.
I got to thinking about all this recently when I was out and about playing with some of my latest toys. Or rather, my latest big boy toys. As regular readers of these columns might remember, a few months ago Mrs Cullimore and I got ourselves a preloved camper van. (If you knew that already, please give yourself a big, bright gold star for effort.) Really keen readers might also remember that I recently got hold of a preloved electric bike too. (Another gold star if that includes you, dear heart.)
