Hotspot Community sauna a little oasis off a busy road

HAVING a soft spot for a sauna, I have to say I am very happy that Bristol appears to be in the middle of a sauna boom.

Several have opened recently, including in a farm in South Bristol and one in inner-city Easton.

And one I have been keen to try for a while is the Bristol Community Sauna at St Anne's House.

A couple of my friends go there regularly, and had told me how lovely it was. I couldn't help but feel it is one of those places everyone in Bristol (or maybe just my friends) is raving about at the moment.

Besides, I had never been to the charity-run building in Brislington yet, so when I had a free afternoon earlier this week it felt like the perfect time to give it a try.

The booking itself was very straight forward and quick, and there are plenty of sessions to choose from during the day including lower-capacity sessions and silent ones.
