LIAM Manning insists the fact his Bristol City side have come through games with West Brom and QPR unbeaten is a "really big positive", despite admitting the Robins didn't manage to match their recent performance level at Loftus Road.

Football Manning in positive mood after City take another point towards play-offs

City kept their spot in the Championship play-off places as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Marti Cifuentes' side on Saturday, as George Earthy’s third goal of the season provided an equaliser to Karamoko Dembele’s first-half opener.

Dembele gave the home side the lead after 21 minutes when he headed home Nicolas Madsen’s cross at the back post. Although the Hoops threatened to quickly double that advantage when Jimmy Dunne volleyed wide, a smart interchange between Earthy and Max Bird ended with the former slotting into the bottom right corner with the outside of his right boot to bring the Robins level.

Both sides had chances of their own to secure all three points with Nahki Wells and Anis Mehmeti both picking up the ball in dangerous positions, but neither team was able to produce the moment of quality needed to seal the win.
