Downs Shootout success keeps Saints on course for double

SAINTS Old Boys came through a penalty shootout to keep alive their hopes of a Downs League double.
The Division One champions drew 1-1 with Jersey Rangers in the Norman Hardy Cup quarter-finals but won 4-3 on spot-kicks. Charlie Ashton scored for Saints, while Connor Thomson struck for Rangers. Saints will be joined in the last four by their reserves after they, too, won on penalties. The Division Two side drew 0-0 with Spor
