Bristol Post
|July 14, 2025
A SUSPECTED arson attack on a riding charity that specialises in providing lessons to disabled and disadvantaged riders has caused damage to fields and valuable hay.
-
The Avon Centre Charity (ACC), formerly known as the Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled, was targeted in a suspected arson attack around 6pm on Tuesday, July 8.
ACC claims that multiple fires were set in the hay fields, on Kings Weston Road in Henbury, where acres of hay had been freshly cut ready for bailing. Hundreds of pounds of hay was damaged while the fields have been partially destroyed.
