Cricket Maz is an all-round star as Downend beat powerhouses Bath
Bristol Post

MAZ Khan produced one of the individual performances of the season, following up a five-wicket haul with an unbeaten 103, as Downend completed a tremendous seven-wicket home win over powerhouses Bath in WEPL Premier One.
Khan was the pick of the Downend attack, finishing with 5-49 from 10 overs of left-arm spin, as the visitors' challenge faded to 219 all out after winning the toss.
Bath were well set at 120-1 in the 20th over but the loss of opener Brad Porteous for 60 saw the innings tail away, as former skipper Matt Jackson also weighed in with 3-35.
In reply, Downend lost an early wicket before Khan and Zaman Shafi (31) settled the innings with a stand of 105, while an unbroken partnership of 89 between captain Callum Loud (57) and Khan wrapped up the points.
The all-rounder, fittingly, reached his century with the match-winning boundary, finishing on 103 off 158 (16 fours and a six) as Downend secured their third victory since being promoted.
Bedminster, in second, continued their excellent recent form with a 55-run derby triumph away to Bristol.
