Cricket club's floodlights bid looks set not to be batted away by planners

GLOUCESTERSHIRE Cricket Club's attempts to prevent bad light stopping play look set to be approved despite concern from nearby residents.

The Seat Unique Stadium is currently only allowed to switch on its floodlights 15 times a year.
But club bosses say the unpredictability of the English weather prevents them from planning when they will need to be used.
