Christmas recycling overwhelms refuse collectors

HOUSEHOLDS in South Gloucestershire have been given an explanation as to why their bins were not collected as normal this week.

On Tuesday, the council’s Street-Care team announced that waste collectors would not be able to reach every household due to an ‘abnormally large amount’ of recycling.
