Bristol breakfast favourite that has a lot on its plate

It can be hard to make a full English breakfast stand out these days, as so many places are putting spins on the classic dish in what is an incredibly competitive menu option.

And with the trendy brunch spots to compete with, some may see a traditional fry-up as being more at home in a greasy spoon nowadays.

But recently, The Bristolian cafe was featured in a list of the top 50 best breakfasts, by travel expert Rob Crossan of The Daily Mail, which seemed a good reason to pay a visit.

This cosy cafe sits in a nicely tucked away location that is also not far from Stokes Croft, and is decorated so beautifully, it really feels like you're about to step into a magical wonderland. There's a small covered outside area with seating, so if inside gets a bit too busy for you to sit down, you can wrap up and tuck in out here.

Some of the first things I noticed inside were the fresh cakes and salads on the counter - a rainbow of colours and enough to make your mouth water from the get go - and the exquisite ceiling of trailing ivy and massive bright pinky red flower lights.
