Athletics Flynn thrilled to smash his PB on 'fast' Valencia course

FLYNN Jennings pushed himself into the unknown at the Valencia 10k - and came out smiling.
In only his second attempt at the distance, the 23-year-old Bristol & West AC runner smashed his personal best with a time that not only put him top of the South West Rankings but is also one of the fastest in the club's history.
On a perfect day for running on the Mediterranean coast, Jennings clocked a superb time of 28mins 28secs, which made him the seventh fastest Brit in the field but remarkably only put him 67th overall, such was the world-class quality of the field.
"To finish 67th with that time is just crazy!" said Jennings.
"The conditions on the day were perfect. The temperature was great, the wind died down completely and I just got dragged around in a big pack of 30 runners."
