Addicts Voice brings hope to the streets

IN a show of unity and compassion, teams from Addicts Voice in Johannesburg, Mokopane, and Polokwane recently came together to take their ministry to the streets.

People who are already in recovery and off the streets joined forces for an outreach event, aimed at offering support, care and dignity to the homeless and those still battling addiction.

Hendriëtte Williams, a member of Addicts Voice, said the day was filled with emotional and transformative moments. "Each organisation had its own station. We offered breakfast snacks, a mobile shower, and distributed shoes and blankets. There were stations for haircuts, hair washing and blow-drying, while a medical team treated wounds with great care," she said.
