Resort charity faces official financial probe

The Charity Commission has opened a statutory inquiry into a Blackpool charity over concerns about its governance and financial management.

Blackpool's Voice, which provides clothes, food and other essentials to people in poverty, has been under regulatory scrutiny after failing to submit legally required accounting information since it was registered in 2020.

According to the Commission, the charity has also been operating with too few trustees since January 2025, a breach of its governing document.
