Chinese whispers and an obsession with net zero

Some four months ago Energy Secretary Ed Miliband entered into discussions with Chinese ministers resulting in re-engagement with the grand sounding Clean Energy Partnership Memorandum of Understanding initiated under the Conservative Government in 2016.

However, since then the citizens of this country, who he claims to serve, remain in the dark regarding any hard detail.

Only a vague statement: "Our Plan for Change and clean energy superpower mission is about energy security, lower bills and growth for the British people. It is with this mission that we can also influence climate action on a global scale fight for our way of life and keep our planet safe."

How can anybody in their right mind believe such arrant nonsense?
