A refreshing look at the world's 'greatest story'

A Chinese colleague on a Hong Kong newspaper explained religious faiths there to me. “We have Confucian, Taoist and Buddhist temples, as well as Catholic and protestant churches. But people,” she said with a smile, “are mostly concerned with family and making money - until older. Then they give money to all faiths — spreading their bets.”

It's true. Since retirement I've attended church services more often, mainly C of E as it's just across the road, but Roman Catholic as well (also near) as they're later starting. I also pray, especially before surgical operations or on turbulent flights. I'm not what you'd call devout, but — again with age - we cling to what's comforting and instils hope.
