We're Gunner build on battling cup win - David
Birmingham Mail
|February 18, 2026
WOLVES' David Moller Wolfe is hopeful of taking their momentum from their FA Cup win at Grimsby into the league and a tough test against leaders Arsenal tonight.
The roles are reversed as Wolves go from being favourites in the cup to underdogs against Mikel Arteta's men. While Wolves sit adrift at the foot of the Premier League, the Gunners can move seven points clear of second-placed Manchester City with a victory.
Wolfe said: "It's an important, and big challenge. They [Arsenal] are first in the table, but we made it very difficult for them a couple of weeks ago, and I believe we can do that again.
"We obviously knew it was not going to be pretty (at Grimsby) and we would not be able to play the football we want to play, so it was just a battle about doing the basics in football the best.
"We did better in the second half.
