CHRIS Millington believes tactical flexibility will be a match-winning asset for Solihull Moors over the next few months.

Manager Millington and No 2 Andy Cooper tried to catch out Boreham Wood's Luke Garrard on Tuesday with a change of formation and personnel to keep the high-fliers guessing.

It worked to a degree with Moors having the edge in the first half, despite trailing 2-1, but they couldn't step it up in the second half when a planned change was implemented.

Millington admitted he might have been better to have stuck with the first half 3-5-2, sacrificing Conor Wilkinson and Oscar Rutherford at halftime, rather than reverting to their 4-3-2-1.
