School's rubbish piled up for NINE weeks before collection

A PRIMARY school in Sutton Coldfield had stinking rubbish pile up for nine weeks after a series of missed collections during the strike.

Staff at New Oscott Primary School, in Markham Road, were furious that their rubbish collections had been missed for more than two months.

The school, previously both a junior and an infants school, has two rubbish collection areas and both were piled high with waste. Sutton Coldfield Town Councillor, John Cooper (Con, Walmley and Minsworth), and fellow campaigner in the Vesey area, Anja Pawson, were visiting the school when staff complained.
