OF the four groups in the Sheldon and District Summer League, only group one still has to find the champions as the top two teams have one fixture to play and are both on 15 points.

- By ALAN TOWE

Leading the top group is Raven Arrows who were held to a 4-4 draw at home playing against third in the group Highwood while secondplaced Langley Arrows achieved the same number of points as the leaders with a resounding 8-0 win at Brian’s Flights leaving them trailing by just four legs of average.

In group two, the top two teams Banbury Club and RABFA still have one game remaining and it is against each other. However, Banbury are on 16 points and RAFA have 13, so a win for RAFA would still leave them one point short of Banbury Club who are the champions.

Old Salts Darts’ final game in group three saw them held to a 4-4 draw away to runners-up Sheldon Marlborough Ridge who ended their campaign on 11 points, six short of title winners Old Salts Darts who amassed a total of 17 points.

A final 8-0 win over Trident Spears has confirmed Lyndon Old Boys as champions of group four. Although second placed Langley Pints have two games to play, if they won both 8-0, it would still leave them two points short of Lyndon Old Boys as they are on 11 points and Lyndon 17.

There were six maximums in the league this week and they came from Owyn Jackson (Brian’s Flights), Neil Parsonage (Raven Arrows), Darren Kirwan, Preston Cupkovic (Trident Spears), Dylan Willcock (EBAHA) and Steve Wells (Shirley Misfits).
