MAIL'S BRUMWISH SUPPORTS BRUM'S POOR AND HOMELESS CHILDREN
MORE than 14,500 toys have been dished out to poor and homeless children thanks to the generosity of Brummies.
The haul represents a new record since the Birmingham Mail and its online counterpart BirminghamLive launched Brumwish, with toys going to more than 100 local charities to help hard-up parents and carers bring a smile to children's faces.
Founded in 2020, Brumwish is the Mail's annual drive to get a Christmas present to every struggling child in Birmingham, which we run with our friends at Toys4Birmingham, a collection of city charities.
With child poverty on the rise, it has never been more important, and West Midlands families and businesses have stepped up again.
Mail editor Graeme Brown said it was a proud day.
He said: "Birmingham never lets us down. Every year we ask our readers to dig deep for kids who need it and once again they've broken their own records.
