Poignant tribute paid to family of knife victim

James Brindley

James Brindley, 26, was walking back following a drink with his friends in Aldridge town centre on June 23, 2017, when he was confronted and killed by Ammar Kahrod, who was 17 at the time.

In the wake of James’ death, his family launched a charity in his memory, with those involved in The James Brindley Foundation working tirelessly to tackle the issues of knife crime and youth violence.

The foundation has sent a poignant message to the family of Katie Fox, from Rednal, who was stabbed to death in Birmingham city centre.
