Norris should not ask Piastri for help in title race - Russell
Birmingham Mail
|December 05, 2025
GEORGE Russell has told Lando Norris that it would not be “fair, acceptable or reasonable” to expect McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri to be ordered out of his way to aid his world championship bid.
Norris and Piastri have been free to race all season but with Red Bull's Max Verstappen now splitting the McLaren pair heading into the 24th and final round in Abu Dhabi, it remains to be seen if the Australian - 16 points behind his teammate in the championship - will be instructed to play the team game.
Both Norris and Piastri insisted team orders have not been discussed.
