Moors' players have their 'i' on the ball, says Quinn
Birmingham Mail
|September 20, 2025
THERE'S no ‘i’ in team, so the saying goes, and James Quinn saluted his players’ endeavours on and off the pitch - for helping revitalise Solihull Moors.

A three-match unbeaten run has highlighted the ‘i’ for improvement under the interim boss.
It is not quite a full-on feelgood factor but it's certainly a feeling better scenario, which will now face its biggest test with back-to-back trips to two teams Quinn regards as among the best in the National League.
Today, Solihull head across the Pennines to preseason title favourites York, last term’s runners-up, before travelling to the northwest on Tuesday to tackle table-topping Rochdale. For Quinn, it's a challenge to be attacked - and enjoyed.
“It’s going to be a difficult week,” he said. “York are probably favourites for the league and, as we stand, Rochdale sit top of the league.
“I watched a lot of York and Rochdale last season in the role I was doing so I know how good they are and how they can hurt teams. They are two of the strongest teams in the league. They both play attractive football and York especially have got a high budget in this league and some very good players.
“But we've got four points from two games - it should have been six - and the lads have been absolutely fantastic since I've come in over the last two weeks.
“They've done everything I have asked of them. They are a great group and I love working with them. They have helped me so much; they give me good feedback and we work together as a team.”
