BLUES smashed the EFL points record by beating Blackpool 2-0 in their penultimate game of the season at Bloomfield Road.

Last-day win will put seal on job well DON!

Ethan Laird and Alfie May scored either side of half-time to take Blues to their 33rd League One victory of the season - and 43rd in all competitions.

They have now accumulated 108 points and can add another three to their tally at already-relegated Cambridge tomorrow. Here are Wednesday night's talking points.

One more record to break

Blues have spent a season breaking records. The League One and EFL points records have tumbled and they have broken almost every club record going.

Their 14th away victory of the season is another record and Blues are now one win away from the record for the most victories in an EFL season.

They equalled Doncaster's record from 1946/47 of 33 wins in an EFL season on Wednesday and will become the outright holders of that title by beating Cambridge.
