MORE than 200 volunteers spent months hand-stitching the 8,000 poppies which now cascade down the tower of an ancient Midlands church ahead of Remembrance Day.

The striking display at St Peter's Church in Inkberrow, Worcestershire, was created by villagers aged from six to 92 during events at their local pub and creates the dramatic illusion of a red waterfall.
