Channel 4 introduced viewers to the world of Father Ted 30 years ago on April 21, 1995. The comedy featured a quartet of Irish actors with the late Dermot Morgan as Father Ted, the late Frank Kelly as booze-loving Father Jack, Ardal O’Hanlon as Father Dougal and Pauline McLynn playing their housekeeper Mrs Doyle famed for foisting cups of tea on visiting clergy, with the catchphrase “go on, go on”.
