Rodrigo Gomes celebrates
Gomes described marking his return from injury by netting in Wolves’ 6-1 FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town at Molineux as ‘perfect’.The Portuguese had been absent since surgery on a groin injury in October and helped Rob Edwards’ men progress and continue the momentum they had created in recent weeks.
“It was a perfect return,” he beamed. “It was a good goal. Fer did a very good shot which hit the post and then Tolu found me inside the box and I was fast to react. It was a good goal and I was very happy when the ball touched the net.
