'Fly-tipping is out of control'

BROKEN SINKS, MATTRESSES, SYRINGES AND HOUSEHOLD WASTE DUMPED IN STREET
A BIRMINGHAM resident is begging for enforcement after the fly-tipping on his road reached a “dangerous and unacceptable tipping point”.
Wajid Hussain claims that large-scale waste is being dumped on Tarry Road in Alum Rock almost 'daily, blocking the pavement for pedestrians.
He said the heaps of soiled nappies, sofas, rotting wood and bags of soaked trash were a health and safety hazard.
Mr Hussain, 41, inset right, said: “We are no longer dealing with the occasional bin bag - we are facing hazardous and large-scale waste being dumped almost daily.
