Festival sets the vibe all others should try to follow

IT was the first full blown festival of the summer and those following will be hard pressed to better it. Bearded Theory 2025, you were magic.
This festival, 40 minutes from Birmingham on the Staffs/Derbys border, delivered a whacking dose of feelgood hits, legends, weirdos, new finds, political commentary and magic moments over four mostly sun-kissed days.
Gravel-voiced Iggy Pop, 78, powered and contorted his way through an age-defying headline performance, while fellow top billers the Manic Street Preachers, Public Service Broadcasting and former Housemartin and Beautiful South frontman Paul Heaton’s sing-along hitfest all delivered.
