Edwards targets first win – and local bragging rights

WOLVES head coach Rob Edwards has targeted a first league win of the season for the club in Sunday's derby clash at Aston Villa - just his second match in charge.

Former Middlesborough boss Edwards's first game at the helm ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace last week, which extended their winless start to 12 matches and left the Molineux men rooted to the bottom of the table.

Edwards told a press conference: “I really hope we can get that first victory straight away and in a big game like this.

“It'd be a great way to start that off, but Villa Park is also a really, really difficult place to go - everyone finds that.

“They're an amazing football club, a huge club, who are doing really well at the moment, with a brilliant manager in place, but we've got to look after ourselves. We've got to respect them, so there'll be a plan in place.
