Council reject Clive's clean-up poster appeal

A GRANDAD was left baffled after he was told he could not display a poster asking for volunteers on a council noticeboard.
Clive Rossiter wanted to see if any local folk with a few hours to spare wanted to join him in forming a group to clean up the vegetation around Babbs Mill Lake in Kingshurst.
The 54-year-old made a poster which read ‘Volunteers Needed For Gardening Around B37 By Babbs Mill Lake’ with his number and asked Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council if he could display it in a locked cabinet in the main car park.
