Concern over rising number of 'zombies' on Soho Road

COLLAPSED PEOPLE 'SCARING SHOPPERS'
IT is 5.30pm on a sunny Saturday and Soho Road in Handsworth is rammed with shoppers.
But in between the quick footsteps is the alarming sight of 'frozen' people strewn across the pavement.
A man is lying is stretched out beneath the number 74 bus shelter close to the junction of Boulton Road.
A woman tries to rouse him from his deep slumber with her foot, asking: 'Are you OK? But he is oblivious to the world.
In nearby Grove Lane, another man is zonked out on the roadside.
Shopkeepers tell of zoned-out people leaning against their businesses when they arrive to open up and at bus stops.
Sonia Kaur is from the bustling and busy Wah Jiwah cafe on Soho Road.
