CHEER UP YOUR SPACE WITH EXOTIC PLANTS

THE days are getting shorter and light levels are dropping. However a beacon of light beckons us to the winter solstice on December 21 after which the days begin to lengthen again.

In the meantime let’s bring some brightness to indoor spaces with tropical colour.

There are wonderful indoor plants that hail from steamy jungles and rainforests we can grow indoors to enjoy the exotic flowers.

Anthurium is also known as the flamingo flower and is recognisable due to its brightly coloured spathe, a type of leaf from which the flowering spike (spadix) emerges.

"Red Champion" has heart-shaped glossy red spathes with a contrasting yellow flower spike, making it a very festive plant.
